The Lake of Menteith Hotel in Perthshire has just unveiled an all-inclusive 'Shortie' break package inspired by all things Scottish.

Priced from just £90 pppn for a standard room, guests are able to get a taste of "Modern Scotland," including dinner cooked with the finest local ingredients, a full Scottish breakfast on the morning of departure and a feast of Scottish goodies in every room - including Scotland's truly iconic Tunnock's wafers.

The Shortie Leisure package, which runs Sunday to Tuesday inclusive until 31st September, allows guests to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of Scotland's only lake, with uninterrupted views to Inchmahome Priory and the chance to spot some glorious Scottish wild life. After dinner, guests can relax in the Malt Room and sample some of Scotland's finest whiskies.

Guests have the option to dine in the lakeside restaurant or the more casual Port Bar. Head Chef Graham Campbell is regarded as a rising star amongst the new generation of talented UK chefs, serving an innovative and flavoursome menu with his own contemporary twist.

Proprietor Ian Fleming said; "Guests at The Lake of Menteith experience the 'real, modern Scotland', with fabulous scenery, a warm Scottish welcome and the best ingredients from Scotland's natural larder. We've stepped sideways from all the tartan, stags heads and haggis stereotypes of Scotland to deliver an experience which is modern and fresh whilst still having the warmth of traditional Scottish hospitality at its heart. "
