New homes venture in Lichfield nearing sell out

Homebuyers in Lichfield have given new Redrow homes their seal of approval with only four properties still available.

The limited availability at City Wharf means house hunters must hurry if they want to be part of the popular development, within walking distance of the thriving Lichfield city centre and just 30 minutes by rail from Birmingham.

“The sales success we have seen at City Wharf is testament to the high standard workmanship and the quality of customer service our customers have grown to expect from Redrow,” Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented.

“Some people have fallen in love with the statement-making kitchens that boast integrated top brand name appliances; others appreciate the convenience of having an en-suite to the master bedroom; while some simply revel in the idea that no one else has ever lived in their new home.”

She added: “There’s something special about being the first people to live in a property. Buying a brand new home means you won’t wonder about the lifestyles of the previous occupants or inherit their decor.”

The remaining homes are all four-bedroom ‘Littleton’ style properties, set out over three floors. Priced from £199,995, they’re the ideal solution for growing families in search of extra space and, with part-exchange considered, those with a property to sell could find that Redrow is willing to take it off their hands as part-payment for a brand new home.

“The open plan layout of the ‘Littleton’ puts the kitchen at the heart of the home, as the combined kitchen, diner and family room encompasses the entire ground floor. It’s more than just somewhere to eat, it’s a great place for families to gather and spend real quality time together talking or simply relaxing. In fact the family area on the ground floor is such a fantastic space that you may want to forego the separate lounge on the first floor and perhaps use the space as a playroom for the children,” Pauline suggested.

Alongside the first floor lounge is the master bedroom, complete with en-suite; while up on the top floor you’ll find the remaining three bedrooms plus the family bathroom. Those who perhaps don’t need all four bedrooms could adapt one as a home office or study.

Being the first people to eat, sleep and bathe in it isn’t the only advantage of a new home. Redrow has calculated that it can cost around £30,000 to bring an older three-bedroom property up to the same high standard of one of its stylish new homes.

“Savvy buyers understand that while an older property may come with a smaller price tag, it may need lots of repairs and renovations. The cost of installing a new kitchen, appliances and bathrooms plus energy efficient heating, replacement windows and a whole host of other features soon adds up. By purchasing a new home instead of an older second hand property, house hunters could save themselves a small fortune in DIY costs, not to mention time and energy,” Pauline explained.
