Tucked-away Torridon wins top honours
Just named Scottish Hotel of the Year 2011, one of the most remote hotels in Britain has a 20% discount throughout April when booked through Pride of Britain Hotels.
The Torridon is a turreted baronial-style house spectacularly located beside a coastal loch at the foot of a mountain near Achnasheen in Wester Ross. Family-owned and run, it took the top prize in the annual Scottish Hotel Awards ceremony on Sunday night. The hotel has a three-AA rosette restaurant, a renowned whisky bar and its own activities manager who can arrange everything for guests from mountain hikes to gorge-scrambling.
Cost of a night’s stay with dinner and breakfast in April is now £122.50 per person sharing a standard room.
