Beaulieu BoatJumble Sunday 17th April 2011

Visitors to this year’s Beaulieu BoatJumble on Sunday 17th April will have the chance to win an iPad 3G complete with a Navionics app and a digital edition of Practical Boat Owner. Just pick up a free entry form at the event.
There is also a Land Rover Experience Trailer Handling Competition with an opportunity to win an afternoon’s adventure on a C-Fury by manoeuvring a 15’ trailer with C-Fury rib, assisted by the latest technology on a Discovery.
Held in the grounds of the world-famous Beaulieu attraction, the Beaulieu BoatJumble is the UK’s biggest outdoor boating event. With up to 1,000 stands to rummage through this year’s show will be another bumper event. With every conceivable item of marine jumble and equipment you can be sure of picking up some real treasures.
On Beaulieu’s own nautical High Street, BoatMall, see new boats from leading manufacturers and brokerages plus all the latest products. This is your opportunity to see the trailerable boats up-close, try on clothing and tinker with up-to-the minute technology.
The BoatMart will have a wide range of used boats, from classics to nearly new and those in need of restoration. Other show highlights include Trunk Traders, for sailors doing a locker clear out to sell from the back of their vehicle.
In the Display Marquee area, the Classic Motor Boat Association will be showing members’ classic boats and antique outboard engines. The RNLI will be running a Safety Lifejacket Clinic offering advice and free lifejacket safety checks.
Entertainment for all the family includes Aqua Zorb, with an opportunity to walk on water in a giant transparent ball, plus a nautical themed bouncy slide for younger visitors.
There will be the usual Boat Jumble ‘shop and drop’ service on offer – deposit your bulky purchases either to pick up later or have them dropped off in the car park.
Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy all the Beaulieu attractions including the National Motor Museum, with its latest exhibition, Feats of Endurance, World of Top Gear, Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey at the one on-the-day inclusive price of £9.20 for adults and £7 for children, even less if booked in advance.
There are two free shuttle buses to the event, one running from the Lymington Ferry Terminal, Brockenhurst Station and Beaulieu and one from Buckler’s Hard to Beaulieu, between 8am and 6pm.
The gates will open at 9am for BoatMall and BoatMart and 10am for the BoatJumble.
