Park Plaza goes virtual with iPad 2s
In the latest in a line of technological firsts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts was at the front of the queue to receive the new iPad 2, enabling meetings and event staff to showcase the hotels even when full.
Supplementing the traditional sales kits, the iPad 2s will give M&E staff round-the-clock access to the event space and mean clients can virtually explore the hotels’ function rooms, even when they are in use.
“Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts operates a very busy M&E department and finding time between events to conduct show-rounds has sometimes proven difficult,” says Manju Goel, Director of Sales and Revenue UK for Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts.
“For the sales team to be able to showcase the hotels to their full potential at all times will really help boost M&E bookings.”
The technology also allows clients to experiment with flexible venue design and set up and browse the full spectrum of choices.
