Dealers can reap the benefits of online valuations more affordably, more easily and access greater and more accurate data, with the latest online valuations package from Glass’s. GlassNet 200 offers 200 vehicle valuations and up to 400 VRM look-ups per year, as well as access to GlassNet through a dedicated mobile website.

The number of dealers subscribing to GlassNet has increased by over 50 percent in the last six months and the introduction of GlassNet 200 will see even more dealers switching to using online valuations.

GlassNet 200 includes all of the functionality available with GlassNet Unlimited, including the VRM look-up facility that can significantly reduce mistakes in vehicle identification, usually related to the specification or even age of the vehicle, meaning that the accuracy of the valuation is improved.

GlassNet customer Steve Marrs, used car sales manager at Chandlers BMW in Brighton, commented: “GlassNet is very fast when it comes to finding the correct vehicle information after entering the VRM and it is quick and simple to enter stock, as well as adjust valuations for mileage and condition.”

Marrs added: “The notes tool is also a great feature of GlassNet, as it acts as an audit trail for every vehicle, tightening up our processes and procedures and ultimately helping us to retain profit.” He continued, “I’m very impressed with it as it is easy to learn how to use and once you start to use it, you realise how helpful it can be.”

As well as providing an entry-level and more cost-effective option for dealers who do not require the unrestricted number of valuations provided by GlassNet Unlimited, customers also get access to GlassNet Mobile. The dedicated mobile website provides the same instant VRM lookup feature as GlassNet 200, as well as the ability to estimate repair costs using Glass’s extensive parts and labour database, and it does not charge dealers an additional fee for carrying out mobile valuations – unlike other mobile valuations services on the market.

Vik Barodia, Head of Dealer at Glass’s, said: “A significant proportion of Glass’s customers access our valuations services online and we only expect this figure to increase. Even outside the showroom, as Wi-Fi access becomes more common at auction houses, we believe dealers will switch to, and ultimately prefer, fast and accurate online valuations. By using GlassNet, dealers have access to 50% more valuation data and the highest possible level of accuracy.”

In addition to the introduction of GlassNet 200, customers who subscribe to Glass’s Guide will receive access to GlassNet 25, which provides up to 25 valuations and 50 VRM look-ups per year together with GlassNet Mobile access.

“We have ensured that GlassNet is both easy to use and as accurate as possible to provide our customers with the best experience in shifting their valuations online”, Vik Barodia continued. “The customer base for GlassNet is wide and continuing to grow, so it is important that we create a range of valuations solutions to support all of our customers’ requirements.”

GlassNet 200 is available with car or light commercial vehicle data at £399 + VAT per annum.
