European awards joy for Bank of America Europe Card Services
Bank of America Europe Card Services is celebrating awards glory after securing one of the industry's most coveted European awards.
The Chester-based business scooped the ‘Best Example of Service Excellence' title at the recent Visa Europe Member Awards.
The Bank, home to a workforce of around 4,000, was judged to be a "truly customer-centric organisation", with a commitment to exceptional customer service. The award is testament to the 1,000-strong customer facing staff across the company.
Ian O'Doherty, Europe Card Executive for Bank of America, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to accept this major European award that recognises our commitment to putting our customers at the centre of everything we do.
"We carried out extensive customer research to build our ‘In Pursuit of Service Excellence' programme and it has bought tremendous improvements in our approach to customer service.
"We still have work to do and improvements to make, but it is fantastic that the industry is endorsing everything we've done so far."
Europe Card Services is no stranger to success, having won four awards at the Card & Payments Awards earlier this year - one of which was again for customer service excellence.
The Visa Europe Member Awards celebrate excellence and innovation and attracted more than 100 entries this year across seven categories.
The award winners were revealed at the most recent Visa member meeting, which took place in Barcelona between the 7th and 8th of April 2011.
