Britelite opens another window of opportunity to Mercedes-Benz

When a leading supplier of windows, doors and conservatories in the south-east decided to upgrade its van fleet, only one manufacturer was in the frame – Mercedes-Benz.

Maidstone-based Britelite Windows is now running 10 new Long-bodied Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans with low-emission Euro 5 engines: nine are 313CDI models used by the firm’s fitters, while the tenth is a more powerful (163hp) 316CDI, which is assigned to the company’s warehouse manager.

All were supplied by Sittingbourne dealer Sparshatts of Kent and wear rear wrap liveries with additional vinyls by HB Graphic Innovations, of Sittingbourne.

Britelite is no stranger to the three-pointed-star, having been a fan of the 3.5-tonne Sprinter for nearly 10 years – the award-winning Mercedes-Benz van accounts for most of the vehicles on the company’s 35-strong fleet.

Managing Director Dominic Baxter said: “The Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star conveys an image of quality; it’s a marque of distinction which is very important to us, as we install premium products to the highest possible standards throughout Kent, Sussex and London.”

They also boast an impressive armoury of active and passive safety features, including the latest Adaptive ESP stability system. This is also key to their appeal, as Britelite is always conscious of its Duty of Care obligations to staff and other road-users.

Added Mr Baxter: “We made the mistake once of buying vans from another manufacturer. But they couldn’t compete with our Mercedes-Benz vehicles on any level, so we’ve stuck with Sprinters ever since.”

Britelite’s latest vehicles will be maintained under a ServicePackage, which covers all labour, materials and lubricants required in routine servicing at an official Mercedes-Benz workshop. All Mercedes Sprinter and Vito vans retailed through the manufacturer's franchised dealer network come with a free five-year ServicePackage (terms & conditions apply) as well as a market-leading three-year, unlimited mileage warranty.

The new arrivals will be maintained by Sparshatts’ Sittingbourne service team. Said Mr Baxter: “We rely completely on our vehicles so they have to be maintained to the highest standards. The dealer’s service has always been very efficient and professional; indeed, it’s because Sparshatts do such a good job that we continue to use them.”
