The Chicago Blues Festival with Bon Voyage
A diary date for fans of Jazz…10 June sees the start of the Chicago Jazz festival, the world’s largest free event of its kind and where more than 500,000 people once again prove that the city is the ‘Blues Capital of the World.’
The event – which takes place at Grant Park – is held over three days with performances on four stages by both ‘top dollar’ blues musicians such as guitarist Dave Specter and vocalist Shemekia Copeland, along with up and coming stars. At night, the music continues in clubs throughout the city.
US specialist, Bon Voyage, is highlighting four-night breaks to the city during this time costing, for example, £855 per person (twin share) inclusive of return flights from Heathrow or Manchester and room-only accommodation at the five-star Palmer House Hilton Hotel.
The hotel, an iconic, historic downtown Chicago property, is within easy walking distance of Grant Park, plus other attractions of the city such as boating and roller blading on - or around - Lake Michigan, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Shedd Aquarium.
