New homes ready and waiting in Halifax

People looking for a new home in Halifax should hot foot it to Wheatley Chase where selected properties are ready to move into.

The Redrow development features designs from the critically acclaimed New Heritage Collection combining traditional exteriors and modern interiors.

With three-bedroom ‘Ludlow’ style properties that are ‘build complete’ and simply waiting for the finishing touches that help turn a house into a home, it’s the ideal solution for those who want a quick move.

The ‘Ludlow’ boasts an open plan kitchen-diner with French doors leading to the garden to flood the room with lots of natural light. There’s a separate lounge at the front of the property; while upstairs the master bedroom boasts an en-suite to complement the family bathroom.

Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), explained: “Our New Heritage Collection is perfect for those who want the charm and character of a ‘period’ property but without the need for expensive repairs and maintenance that an older home may need.

“Some of the homes at Wheatley Chase have stone finishes, which means they blend in with the neighbourhood, but inside they are full of family friendly features designed to meet the demands of 21st century lifestyles.”

As well as a choice of three-bedroom homes, such as the ‘Ludlow’, Wheatley Chase also features two and four-bedroom properties. They all boast kitchens that are both practical and stylish, with the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances, plus tall units and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage. Bathrooms and en-suites boast quality fixtures and fittings with an exclusive tile range.

Eligible customers could find that owning a property at Wheatley Chase is more affordable than they realised thanks to the Government-backed HomeBuy Direct scheme. The valuable help enables certain groups of purchasers, including first time buyers, the chance to take out an equity loan for up to 30% of the price of a brand new home. It means that a two-bedroom home, on the market at £112,999, could be snapped up for an initial outlay of just £79,099.

Those who have a home of their own to sell may be able to use it to part-fund a move to a bigger, better, brand new home.

“At Redrow we don’t believe that ‘one size fits all’ either in the homes we build or the incentives we offer. Wheatley Chase has something for everyone from those starting out or starting over to growing families in search of extra space,” Patsy explained.

“HomeBuy Direct is a great way for those starting out in life to step onto the property ladder as it reduces the initial outlay and, therefore, the amount they need to borrow and the size of deposit required; while those who are moving up the property ladder may appreciate the speed and simplicity of part-exchange, where we effectively act as a cash buyer for their existing home.”

Just a mile from Halifax town centre, Wheatley Chase residents will benefit from having a wealth of amenities close by including a primary school opposite the development. Easy access to the motorway network means that the development is well placed for commuting to Leeds and beyond.
