New homes showcase a new lifestyle at Vision

Redrow is opening two brand new show homes this weekend (May 21 and 22) to help homebuyers imagine life in a new home at Vision, in Plymouth.
The three-bedroom ‘Drake’ and four-bedroom ‘Nelson’ townhouses have been dressed to impress by a team of interior designers, with stylish decor and contemporary furniture so buyers can picture how the layouts could work for their lifestyle.
Showcasing a range of contemporary townhouses, the properties are ideal for professionals and families in search of more space at Redrow’s ground-breaking regeneration project, which is transforming the former Mod owned South Yard Enclave in Devonport.
Hayley Zaple, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “Anyone who has bought a new property knows how helpful it can be to look around a show home. It gives buyers something tangible they can use to visualise themselves living here. Our fully furnished houses really show off the potential of these properties and also give buyers an idea of how they can put their own unique design stamp on them.”
Hayley added: “By buying early you can choose your preferred position on the development and also have more choice of the individual design touches that really make a home your own.
“Because the homes are brand new, they’re easy to maintain with no need for costly or time consuming repairs or renovations. They’re also built to modern energy efficiency standards making them potentially cheaper to run than an older second hand property. These are factors which definitely appeal to the first time buyer market who want a clean blank canvass for their first home.”
A three-bedroom Drake is priced from £169,995 and a four-bedroom Nelson from £189,995. Other four-bedroom homes are priced from £175,995 and two-bedroom apartments from £ 116,995.
The three-storey Drake has a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining room at its hub, with French doors out to the rear garden. There’s also a combined cloakroom and laundry room and study/ optional fourth bedroom to the ground floor. Upstairs there’s a spacious lounge with a Juliette balcony, bedroom three and a family bathroom. On the top floor there’s a generous-sized bedroom two and a master bedroom with en-suite and a Juliette balcony.
Also with three floors of living space, the Nelson comprises of an entrance hall leading through to a spacious open plan kitchen/dining area with French doors opening out to the rear garden and downstairs cloaks/laundry room. On the first floor you'll find a bright and airy lounge with Juliette balcony, bedroom two and a family bathroom, whilst on the second floor there’s a master bedroom with en-suite together with a further two bedrooms.
With more than 100 homes now sold in total, Vision is changing the face of the local community. The development will eventually consist of hundreds of new homes, alongside shops, offices, community facilities and areas of public open space, which can be used for leisure and community events and will be enhanced with landscaping and seating.
The Vision site was once part of the town centre, which was heavily damaged during the blitz of World War II, and was requisitioned by the MoD shortly afterwards. Redrow was chosen as preferred developer by national regeneration agency the Homes and Communities Agency (formerly English Partnerships) to build a development of 460 new homes together with a range of community facilities on the former MoD site.
