Who Dares Wins by Marie Boyle

This summer, from 19th May to the 21st August, the grounds of the Beaulieu attraction will be enhanced by the creative works of sculptors from all over Hampshire and the Southern Counties. The sculptors are exhibiting their broad range of work on an extensive Sculpture Trail that leads visitors through the beautiful grounds and gardens of Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey.

This unique setting forms a perfect backdrop to the diverse range of works by Surrey Sculpture Society members, who come from all over the south including a number of Hampshire sculptors exhibiting their works in this year’s exhibition. The exhibition will offer affordable art in a wide range of materials including bronze, metal, ceramics, wood, glass, resin, stone and found objects.

Visitors will find sculptures to appeal to every taste and budget including abstract and traditional sculptures in figurative, floral, animal and human form.  These thought provoking sculptures show beauty, movement and emotions and are created with skill and imagination, with some of the sculptures located in the fragrant Victorian Flower Garden as well as the precincts of historic Beaulieu Abbey.  Smaller sculptures will be on display inside Palace House.

As well as admission to Beaulieu Abbey, Palace House and Gardens, visitors to the Sculpture Trail can enjoy all of Beaulieu’s attractions including the National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear and the James Bond Experience.  There are also many places to picnic within the picturesque parkland , alternatively the  Brabazon Restaurant offers a wide range of food and beverages throughout the day.  For further information, visit beaulieu.co.uk.
