Final apartments launched at Ferry Village near Braehead

Last week, Renfrewshire’s Provost Celia Lawson planted a commemorative tree to signal the launch of Taylor Wimpey’s final selection of apartments at its flagship Ferry Village development, near Braehead.
The apartments went on sale to the public on Saturday 14 May, 2011 at 11am with a champagne launch were every visitor to the development celebrated the exciting finale of this prestigious development with a glass of fizz! A new show apartment was also available to view this weekend. The initial response has been phenomenal with a trio of apartments snapped up in the first weekend.
Featuring 49 one, two and three bedroom properties, and with prices starting at an attractive £80,745* – this development is the perfect choice for first-time buyers aiming to
take the plunge into property ownership.
The impressive Ferry Village development sits at the heart of what has been established as one of the most desirable waterfront locations in Renfrew Riverside, close to Glasgow city-centre. Ferry Village itself, offers a peaceful and imaginative contemporary townscape packed full of features for you to just get on with enjoying life. A few minutes’ walk from the development takes you to the riverside, or the tranquil Clyde View Park.
Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland adds: “Following our previous developments at Ferry Village, we’re confident that the overall area
of Ferry Village in Renfrew is now firmly established as a great place to live. This development of just 49 apartments represents the final piece in the overall masterplan that
Taylor Wimpey began in December 2004 to deliver a total of 385 homes and create a new place to call home on the Clyde.
“We’re honoured that Provost Lawson could join us today to help mark the final piece in the jigsaw for Taylor Wimpey. The tree-lined boulevards are a key feature within the
development, and at the initial launch of the development around ten years ago, a tree was also planted so it’s fitting that Provost Lawson marks the final phase in the same way.
“The area is increasing in popularity with customers keen to grab a slice of the property action, and our prices for one bedroom apartments will start from just £80,745* using the company’s shared equity scheme, making these apartments an attractive option for first-time buyers and investors looking to maximise the increasing interest in this area of Renfrew.
“Buyers will also have the benefit from having a long lead-time to save for their dream property, because the first projected move-in dates are not until January/February 2012,
therefore giving buyers the chance to save further and plan ahead for their move.
“Our new show apartment allows customers to see the style, quality and craftsmanship they can expect when they buy a new home from Taylor Wimpey. Clearly with a three apartments snapped up in the first weekend – buyers will need to be quick off the mark if they want to call Ferry Village home.”
Renfrewshire's Provost Celia Lawson said: "Renfrew Riverside has developed as an important residential, environmental, leisure and commercial centre.
"It's encouraging to see more opportunities for people to live in what is an increasingly thriving area which has brought new jobs and development to Renfrewshire."
