Recently-named Scottish Hotel of the Year 2011, the spectacularly-located Torridon hotel in the Highlands is offering complimentary outdoor activities for guests until the end of June.

The luxury Victorian hotel’s activities instructor leads half-day sessions in rock climbing, archery, loch kayaking, gorge scrambling and guided walks, normally costing from £25-£60 per activity. Children over 10 are welcome. Double rooms with breakfast cost £215 a night (for two people) in June with complimentary afternoon tea on arrival and entrance to the nearby Inverewe Gardens.

A member of Pride of Britain Hotels, the family-run Torridon is situated beside a sea loch at the foot of a mountain near Achnasheen in Wester Ross.
