Ducati fans descended upon Silverstone circuit over the weekend to revel in two fantastic days on and off the track. The weather stayed dry for riders to appreciate all that was on offer.

On day one riders arrived at Silverstone to be greeted by sunshine and blue skies and made the most of the good conditions. Riders spent the day learning the national and international circuits with help from coaches from California Superbike School who were on hand to help them get the most from their Ducati and improve their skills whilst riding around the impressive Silverstone Circuit.

For those not riding there was plenty to see and do including the Ducati Museum which was a favourite for many visitors with over 30 bikes from across Ducati history. There was also a display of fantastic cars from Mercedes- AMG and the Mercedes Vito Sport-X Dualiner, which proved a hit with lots of Ducati owners. Other stands and displays included Spyder Club, Ohlins, R&G, Moto-Icons, Bike Trac, Bianchi bicycles and many more.

On day two all riders moved over to the MotoGP circuit and were joined by special guests including Jeremy McWilliams who commandeered an 1198 for the weekend. Matt Roberts, BBC MotoGP presenter, rode a number of bikes and finally fell for the 848 Evo, Maria Costello MBE could not be extracted from the Diavel and James Haydon rode the 848 race bike ready for his racing comeback in the 848 Challenge. Unfortunately due to illness Carl Fogarty was unable to attend and passed on his sincere apologies to his fans. Also in attendance was the racing father and son duo, Paul and Scott Smart. Paul rode a variety of bikes including a Supermono while Scott was on hand to pass on his experience to Moto Rapido customers.

All the special guests joined in with Q&A sessions hosted by Matt Roberts which proved incredibly popular and provoked some interesting stories. Seminars were also given by special guest Neil Spalding who gave an insight into the story of Valentino Ross and Ducati and there were talks from Chris Witter from Ohlins, Steve Moore of Moto Rapido and Tim Maccabee, MD of Ducati UK.

The highlight of the day for many was the Ducati parade lap where an estimated 150 riders turned out to ride the MotoGP track and produce a memorable site and sound. Led by a Mercedes AMG and closely followed by Paul Smart, Scott Smart, Jeremy McWilliams, James Haydon, Maria Costello and many  more, the parade lined up firstly on the grid and then again outside the new wing-pits for two photo opportunities.

The overriding feeling from all guests was that Ducati Days was a great event providing interest and excitment for everyone.

One guest summed up the day succinctly ‘I can honestly say it is the most fun I have ever had on two wheels.’ And many more echoed these sentiments and all asked the same question ‘When is the next Ducati Days?’
