The Pop Up Hotel goes live at Glastonbury

2nd June 2011 Print

It’s hard to find a really special and different festival experience.  But that’s just what the Pop-Up Hotel will be providing: all the atmosphere of staying under canvas at Glastonbury Festival but with the comfort and luxury of a really good boutique hotel.

No more lugging your belongings from the car to your tent in a wheelbarrow;  and yes, whilst it’s great to ‘feel the love’ from your fellow festival goers, that doesn’t mean you want to be able to see, hear, smell and touch them from your tent in the early hours of the morning.

Instead, have your car valet-parked at the Pop-Up Hotel site and check into one of their luxurious, classic, canvas bell tents for the weekend.  With security for the Pop-Up Hotel provided by The Ghurkha Security Services, you can happily drop everything and head off carefree to the festival for fun and frivolity - just a 15 minute stroll or a five minute chauffeur drive away.

When you return to the Pop-Up Hotel field, tired and muddy, you can use the hot showers in the brand new shower/loo block before visiting the pop-up restaurant or the chill-out bar area, serving drinks throughout the festival.  Alternatively, sit out on your deck and soak up the calming atmosphere before retiring to your full size double bed dressed in crisp cotton bed linen.  Having woken fully refreshed, order room (tent) service from the locally-renowned gastro pub next door, The Apple Tree Inn, and a full English breakfast will be delivered to your tent, providing you with the energy needed to do it all over again.    It’s the full Glastonbury experience – and a little more!

The price starts at £795 for the classic bell tent for a four night stay over the Glastonbury weekend.  A stay in the suite is from £1,495.  Spacious and custom designed, this tent incorporates a covered deck area, an ensuite bathroom and king size bed.
