Persimmon acquires land in Sharpness

Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has been on the acquisition trail and has purchased a piece of land for development in Sharpness.
The site, to be named ‘The Mallards’, is situated on Sanigar Road. Yate-based Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has been working closely with Stroud District Council; the site already benefits from an outline planning permission and full planning permission is expected within the next few weeks.
Persimmon anticipates the site will feature around 65 new homes which will include a mix of private and affordable housing, in a build programme expected to take two years to complete.
Commenting, Nicola Reed, sales director for Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, said: “This is the first time we have built in this area and we are really excited about our plans for the site where buyers will have the best of both worlds; Berkeley prices with quick and easy access to nearby Sharpness.”
The Mallards’ gross development value is estimated at £10m.
