Financial adviser comparison website goes live

VouchedFor.co.uk, the new financial adviser comparison website, has been launched. The site will help consumers find the best individual IFAs in the UK, and then provide feedback on the IFA they sign up with. It will target the most RDR-ready IFAs, featuring only IFAs who prefer to work on a fee basis, and making it very clear where an IFA holds a qualification on the FSA’s “Level 4” list. It will also check all IFAs are authorised by the FSA (or FSA-regulated firm) to offer independent “whole of market” advice across all regulated saving and investment products. VouchedFor.co.uk is entirely independent and reviews will come entirely from IFAs’ clients.

Clients have always sought IFAs through personal recommendations, but in this day and age people expect to find those recommendations aggregated online. Price continues: “We are inviting IFAs to register on the site, so they can benefit from the new business leads we generate, and start building up a good volume of reviews before RDR. I’m sure that those advisers that are confident in their service won’t hesitate to get involved.”

Price goes on: “Our research shows most consumers want an excellent IFA, even if they are a little distance away, rather than the choice of lots of IFAs nearby. It is these consumers we will be targeting nationwide albeit with a particularly intensive focus on the SW London and Surrey areas initially.”
