Solihull's Touchwood centre supports local charity

Local charity, Solihull Life Opportunities (SoLO), is celebrating after being selected as Touchwood’s charity of choice following the centre’s recent appeal.

The centre will now embark on a 10-week fundraising drive in aid of SoLO as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, and is calling on the community to offer their support by donating what they can into a large Touchwood ‘T’ in the centre.

Furthermore, the centre is inviting local residents to come along to an exclusive event on Monday 13 June to launch the campaign. Those who attend between 12noon and 2pm will not only be able to witness the grand unveiling of the ‘T’, but they will also be invited to enjoy free tea and cake samples courtesy of Druckers.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, explains: “SoLO is a fantastic local cause which does some great work in the region, so we are delighted to be able to offer our support and that of our guests. We encourage everyone to come along over the next 10 weeks and show their generosity.”

Solihull Life Opportunities (SoLO) is a charity that aims to enable children, young people and adults with learning disabilities to enjoy social and leisure activities that the rest of us take for granted. It also provides the parents and carers of those individuals with much needed respite – a break from the full-time job of caring for disabled people.

Touchwood houses some of the best UK and international brands, designer retailers and independent boutique style stores. For further information visit: touchwoodsolihull.co.uk
