Hot on the heels of its success at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards, where its Wargrave Park development near Reading scooped the top award, it’s little wonder that the launch of a new Millgate Homes address attracted significant interest.

This was certainly the case when the new Show Home at Dame Annis Place, tucked away off Burgh Heath Road in Epsom, opened its doors to the public. Over its launch weekend the collection of three substantial 5 and 6 bedroom properties welcomed some 35 visitors and has continued to attract a steady stream of interest since.

Enjoying a private, gated driveway and bathed in dappled sunlight by surrounding mature trees, these new homes in Epsom have an air of tranquillity that belies the fact they lie within easy reach of all that bustling town has to offer. And the Show Home illustrates perfectly the opulent lifestyle that lucky purchasers can enjoy at this exclusive new address.

Upon entering the grand entrance hall, one is immediately aware of a sense of space which, flooded with natural light, is a recurring theme of this property. Ground floor accommodation comprises of formal dining and drawing rooms, a study and the piece de resistance – a huge, open-plan kitchen/breakfast/family room which, with separate utility room, looks set to be the true heart of the home.

A galleried staircase and landing offer access to the first floor, where four of the five bedrooms, all en-suite, can be found, including the impressive master with its L-shaped balcony accessed via two sets of French doors, dedicated dressing area and generous en-suite. Up a further flight of stairs on the second floor is the fifth bedroom, a another bathroom and a large room that’s presently used as a home cinema suite but that could easily be adapted to meet the individual needs of the purchaser; whether used as a sixth bedroom, to create a self-contained apartment for a grown-up child, a playroom or the ultimate home gym.

The specification of these new homes in Epsom, as one would expect of a home with an award-winning pedigree, is second to none. The kitchen features hand painted floor and wall cabinets complemented with honed granite work surfaces and up-stands alongside a comprehensive range of appliances that include a Falcon dual-fuel range cooker, an ‘American style’ fridge/freezer, a wine cooler and a Siemens integrated microwave oven and dishwasher.

The bathroom, cloakroom and en-suites, meanwhile, are equipped with white Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware, contemporary Vado chrome furnishings and bespoke vanity units finished with stone surfaces.

Given the scale of these new homes in Epsom, two of which offer 5 bedroom accommodation and one of which is 6 bedroom, it’s little wonder that they have attracted interest from a mix of families looking for a property with plenty of space and professionals in search of a home that offers a backdrop for serious entertaining.

Add Epsom’s excellent links to London, the area’s very good schools, both state and independent, and the package becomes even more attractive. Commuters will enjoy great access to London by both road and rail – Epsom station has regular services to London Waterloo in as little as 36 minutes* - while being free to make the most of the town’s historic charm and the open spaces of nearby Epsom Downs.

Prices at Dame Annis Place start from £1,850,000 and the Show Home is open daily between 10am and 4pm.
