Stunning interiors weren’t the only thing worth admiring when Taylor Wimpey Midlands launched two new show homes at Swallows Nest in Allesley, as visiting guests had the chance to get up close to three of the nation’s most beloved cars.

Courtesy of the Jaguar Heritage Museum, which is next door to the development, a 1922 Swallow Side Car, 1927 Austin Swallow Saloon and a 1961 E-type Jaguar were positioned in pride of place at the front of the development ready to catch the eye of any discerning visitor (or passing car fanatic!).

Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We were thrilled with the turn out to our double show home launch, an event made even more memorable with the presence of three such beautiful cars. We chose to name the development Swallows Nest after discovering that Jaguar was founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company by Sir William Lyons in 1922, so it was fantastic to be able to show the cars off alongside our new show homes.”

Over 100 guests turned up to view the new four bedroom detached Heydon and Longworth show homes that have been professionally styled in an art deco theme by interior designers. Visitors had the perfect opportunity to see for themselves the well built, high quality design and spacious homes on offer at the development, with one customer being so impressed they snapped up a home on the day.

Allesley grew around the 800 year old All Saints Church, the spire of which is prominent on the skyline of the village. Originally built around 1130, it was rebuilt in 1863 and remains relatively unaltered since then. Conveniently located around three miles west of Coventry City Centre, the village still retains its separate identity and welcoming village atmosphere making it a desirable place to live. Excellent schools and a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops are all close by, making the village the perfect choice for a range of house hunters.

Homes at Swallows Nest have been extremely popular since its launch last year and are selling fast. Currently available is a collection of three bedroom terraced homes priced from £184,995, four bedroom detached homes from £284,995 and five bedroom detached homes from £339,995.

In addition to the fantastic homes on offer Taylor Wimpey also has a range of financial schemes, including Part Exchange and deposit assistance, designed to help make the move onto or up the ladder easier and more affordable.

For further information visit the development, open Thursday to Monday from 10am – 5pm.
