Taylor Wimpey’s easystart scheme offers an affordable way to step on the property ladder at the leading housebuilder’s Stratus development of new homes in Hatfield.

First-time buyers are being offered an amazing opportunity to make an affordable move to Stratus, Taylor Wimpey’s exciting development of apartments for sale in Hatfield.

The leading housebuilder’s easystart initiative means qualifying first-time buyers can own selected two-bedroom flats in Hatfield now for just 85% of the full asking price.

For example, a purchaser choosing the two-bedroom apartment at Plot 158 of Stratus, with a full asking price of £184,950, would pay just £157,208* under the easystart scheme for the property in Hatfield.

Subject to status, purchasers need only to find a deposit as low as 5% – just £9,250 – and Taylor Wimpey will put them in touch with an independent financial advisor to help arrange a mortgage covering up to 80% of the price of selected flats for sale in Hatfield.

The remaining 15% is provided by the housebuilder in the form of an interest-free loan which can be repaid in up to three instalments over a 10-year period, at the market value of the Hatfield property when payments are made. Full details and terms and conditions of the incentive are available from the Sales Executive at Stratus.

Tony Woodman, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “With so many mortgage lenders demanding large deposits from first-time buyers, aspiring homeowners in search of Hatfield apartments are facing the prospect of having to save for years and years until they can afford to make a downpayment on their first home.

“But, with easystart, first-time buyers are not only finding that elusive home is within their reach, but they can afford a stylish, maintenance-free apartment, rather than a tired second-hand property that may need expensive and time-consuming work doing to it to bring it up to scratch.”

A superb choice of two-bedroom apartments is currently available at Stratus, and offering generous accommodation including a spacious lounge/dining room and open-plan kitchen, well-proportioned bedrooms and a bathroom off the internal entrance hallway.

Apartments also benefit from allocated parking outside, while selected plots feature private balconies to living areas, en-suite bathrooms to master bedrooms and flooring throughout.

Alternative properties currently available to purchase include the three-bedroom ‘Lightning’ townhouse, priced from just £315,000, and the spacious four-bedroom ‘Skyhawk’ townhouse from as little as £294,950.

Stratus enjoys a superb location in Hatfield, with a host of shops and leisure opportunities close by.

Three supermarkets are within two miles of the new homes, while the Galleria shopping centre is close by and offers a wealth of designer names at factory outlet prices, as well as a multiplex cinema and wide choice of restaurants.

Parents will appreciate that there are many schools within close proximity providing education for children of all ages.

Stratus benefits from excellent transport links, with Hatfield railway station just over a mile away offering services to London King’s Cross in less than half an hour.

Meanwhile, Junction 3 of the A1(M) is about a mile from home, while the M25 is just eight miles away. Historic Welwyn Garden City, the vibrant town of Stevenage and the city of St Albans are also within easy reach.

Just 20 miles north of central London, Hatfield is an ideal spot for commuters looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, as well as for parents in search of a well-appointed place to raise their families, while still offering a convenient town-centre location.

To find out about easystart shared equity and the apartments at Stratus, property-seekers can visit the Sales Information Centre, located off Mosquito Way, Hatfield, AL10 9AY, and open Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 5.30pm and Mondays from 10am to 2pm.
