Only 36% of the 1.9 million people who applied for London 2012 Olympic tickets were successful in the first-round lottery, according to recent reports. Instead of waiting for the nail-biting ‘second chance sales’ period, why not guarantee the chance to watch an Olympic event in an Olympic venue?

One of the most popular spectator events at the Olympics, and the world’s fastest racquet sport, badminton is now completely sold out for London 2012. There is, however, still the chance to watch the team in action at the Yonex BWF World Badminton Championships in London, 2011 (8th – 14th August 2011).

Held at Wembley Arena (the venue for badminton and rhythmic gymnastics at the London 2012 Olympics), this will be the third time England has hosted the World Championships, but only the first time they have been staged in London.
