Excelerate powers ahead with Mercedes-Benz Vito

A high-tech communications firm has launched two state-of-the-art mobile command and control units based on eye-catching Mercedes-Benz vans equipped with roof-mounted satellite dishes.

Excelerate Technology’s latest, Long-bodied Vito 120CDIs, bristle with a comprehensive array of systems. Their prime role is to showcase the Cardiff-based company’s products and expertise to existing and prospective customers.

However, in addition to their promotional work the Vitos may be called into action to support the emergency services during major incidents. They boast multiple screen monitoring and control facilities and can be deployed anytime, anywhere.

Excelerate Technology leads the market in the supply and integration of satellite and wireless-based data, voice and video applications for use on mobile incident command and control, and communications support vehicles used by the emergency services, counter-terror agencies and governments, both in the UK and world-wide.

It also offers a range of similar solutions for use in fixed and mobile environments by customers across a wide range of other sectors, including education, utilities, medical, sport and commercial.

Supplied by Tewkesbury dealer Mudie-Bond with support from Mercedes-Benz UK, the new vans were converted by J S Fraser of Witney, which fitted workbenches and seating, before Excelerate Technology began the task of installing its own, extensive array of systems.
