The Matts family love their new Redrow home

With three young children in tow, a brand new Redrow home ensured Debbie and Anthony Matts could spend more time enjoying their new house without worrying about DIY.

The couple opted for a new three-bedroom townhouse at Bramford Gardens, a sought-after venture in Ipswich, which combines style and affordability. Their move was made even smoother thanks to Redrow’s easi:buy incentive, which enabled them to defer 15% of the purchase price.

Police officer Debbie, 29, said: “I’ve always preferred new build homes as I don’t really like DIY but I do have an eye for interior design so having a clean blank canvas to decorate how I choose was perfect.”

“The other benefit of buying new was that we could take advantage of Redrow’s easi:buy incentive. We had been renting for the past year and didn’t have a huge deposit so it really made our move possible.”

Debbie moved with her Army soldier partner Anthony, 27, her two children from a previous relationship Jack, five and Samual, three, and the couple’s youngest, Joshua, six months. The family have been settling in well and enjoying all the family-friendly features of their new home, including high specification kitchens and bathroom and built in energy efficiency measures.

“The style and finish of Redrow’s homes made them stand out for us, especially the quality of their kitchens and bathrooms, and we felt they represented excellent value for money”, Debbie added.

Buyers like Debbie and Anthony can potentially put off paying thousands of pounds using easi:buy. Available on selected three-bedroom townhouses, they can defer 15% of the initial asking price for up to 10 years and don’t have to pay the outstanding balance until they have more funds available or come to resell.

It is therefore possible to only apply for a maximum 85% loan to value mortgage, hopefully giving purchasers access to better interest rates and reducing the size of any deposit required by lenders.

As well as featuring Redrow’s superior specification, being secure and easy to maintain, new homes have other advantages over the second-hand sector. They come with a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ guarantee and appliances are all covered by two-year manufacturers’ warranties.

You could snap up a three-storey three-bedroom townhouse with easi:buy for an initial outlay of just £144,458 (full price £169,950).

Four-bedroom homes are also available priced from £179,950.

Good road and rail links from Ipswich make Bramford Gardens a great base for commuters to places like Cambridge, Norwich and even London, which is just 75 minutes by train.

For details of new homes available visit the development and show homes off Bramford Road, Ipswich, daily between 10am and 5.30pm.
