Renault to offer Z.E. range test drives at Company Car in Action
The Company Car in Action show is set for some French flair combined with eco chic when Renault displays an impressive 22-vehicle range at the Millbrook Proving Ground from 28th to 29th June 2011.
Renault will be showcasing a range of cars and vans, including two models from its Z.E. (Zero Emission) family, in the Fleet News’ “Electric Vehicle Village”. Fleet managers and contract hire companies will be invited to test drive both - the Kangoo Van Z.E. and Fluence Z.E. around a dedicated driving route.
With many fleet managers keeping an eye on rising costs, Renault’s Kangoo Van Z.E. has already proven popular even though it doesn’t appear in UK showrooms until October. With the same payload as the traditional diesel-engined Kangoo Van and low running costs, the 100% electric version offers a silent driving experience, combined with comfort and practicality.
Visitors will also be able to sample the Fluence Z.E. saloon which is launched in the UK next year, along with the latest entrant to Renault’seco2 label that’s applied to Renault’s most economical and ecological cars; the Clio ‘Eco’ that emits just 94g/km of CO2.
The Clio Expression with Eco Pack, Renault's most CO2 efficient model yet, will allow business customers to benefit from combined fuel consumption of 76.3mpg, zero VED, a BIK rating of 13%, 100% capital write-down allowance and 100% exemption from the London Congestion Charge.
Another new member of the eco2 family to debut this year will be the Scénic 1.6 Energy dCi 130 with Stop and Start technology. Replacing the former 1.9-litre 130hp diesel, this new state-of-the-art powerplant is the most powerful of its size on the market, yet returns an impressive combined mpg of 64.2 and emits only 115 g/km of CO2.
