Ferrari California Experience

Following last year’s inaugural event at Silverstone Circuit, Ferrari North Europe will once again be partnering with the British Racing Drivers’ Club to brighten the lives of another group of disabled, disadvantaged and seriously ill children.
 
On Tuesday 26th July, 50 children will each experience the thrill of being driven around the world-famous Silverstone Circuit in a Ferrari California. Accompanying them will be professional racing drivers from the British Racing Drivers’ Club, together with a number of “BRDC SuperStars”, young stars of the future who are receiving guidance and training from the club in the quest to become professional drivers and household names of tomorrow.
 
The event is being held in conjunction with two leading charities: The Variety Club, the Children’s Charity which has been helping to improve the lives of more than a million children and young people for over 60 years, and BEN, the automotive industry charity which provides care, financial help, emotional support and advice for those who work or have worked in the automotive industry.
 
While each child enjoys a thrilling 15-minute passenger ride, their families will have access to the BRDC Clubhouse, normally reserved exclusively for club members.
 
The Ferrari California Experience was officially launched today at Silverstone Circuit by pupils from one of the many schools supported by the Variety Club. They were ably assisted by reigning BTCC champion and Fifth Gear frontman Jason Plato; TV presenter Mike Brewer (who will also host the event itself), BRDC member Tim Harvey and Jessica Linley, reigning Miss England and Variety Club ambassador.
