28th June 2011 Print

People are invited to get into the spirit of summer with a range of activities and delicious summer treats at Seaton Tramway, all to celebrate Wimbledon Finals Week from Monday 27 June.

Everyone at Seaton is entering into the spirit of this great summer tradition and a tempting range of refreshments are being served on the terrace at the Tramstop Restaurant throughout Wimbledon Finals Week.

People are invited to come along to the Tramstop Restaurant at Colyton Station and choose from delightfully fruity Pimms cocktails, sumptuous local strawberries and cream or wickedly indulgent cream teas whilst listening to the live match action, which will be played out over the radio so people can enjoy the full Wimbledon experience all week long.

Managing director of Seaton Tramway, Jenny Nunn said, “We hold many events during the year and Wimbledon Finals Week is always great fun.  We’ll be sure to have plenty of strawberries and cream available for people to enjoy while they sit back and listen to the live match coverage on the radio.

“The Tramstop Restaurant will be decorated especially for the occasion and we’d love to see people coming along in their tennis whites to join in the fun.”

The fleet of 14 electric trams, many of which have been restored, will be running every day, transporting people along the Axe estuary on the three mile route between Seaton and Colyton.
