Friendship Travel expands singles winter programme
Leading singles specialist, Friendship Travel, has launched its expanded 2011/12 winter programme, with Madrid, Tenerife, Mauritius and Goa making their debut.
The company continues to grow year-on-year and the latest Mintel Report on the singles market (June 2011) indicates that an estimated 11.8 million holidays abroad were taken by solo travellers in 2010 – with volumes outperforming the overall holiday market.
All holidays – city breaks, short haul and long haul – are accompanied by a Friendship Travel host and guests enjoy sole occupancy of a double room at no extra cost. Regional departures are also available from a wide choice of airports.
City break additions include Madrid - where a three-night break leads in at £420 inclusive of return Gatwick flights, transfers and accommodation with breakfast at the four-star Villa de la Reina – while those looking for some wintersun could opt for Tenerife, where a week’s stay on a half-board basis at the adult-only four-star Oasis Moreque Hotel is priced from £745.
There’s more choice for skiers and snowboarders with expansion in the French and Swiss Alps. New properties include the three-star Chalethotel Cygnaski in Val d’Isere where seven nights cost from £595 per person inclusive of return Gatwick flights, transfers and half-board with afternoon tea.
Further afield, Mauritius makes its debut with seven nights of luxury at the four-star Tamassa Hotel costing from £1695 per person inclusive of return Gatwick flights, transfers and all-inclusive accommodation.
Other highlights of the company’s programme include festive breaks – both home and away – Easter and Valentine getaways, cruising and UK walking.
