Taylor Wimpey’s Frampton View development of property for sale in Rushall, Walsall, was the perfect choice for retired homebuyer Diane Clarke.

Location was right at the top of the list when Diane Clarke, one of the first residents of Taylor Wimpey’s new Frampton View development of new homes in Rushall, was looking to move house.

Her old home near the centre of this lovely West Midlands village was beginning to need a lot of work, and the 61-year-old retired sales assistant, who was widowed five years ago, realised she would be better off in a low-maintenance brand new property in Rushall.

However, having lived in the neighbourhood for 40 years, she knew she also wanted to carry on enjoying its peaceful village lifestyle, close to all her friends and neighbours. Without a car, she also needed to be within a short stroll of the village centre for the local shops and buses into Walsall, Aldridge and Birmingham.

So when Taylor Wimpey announced the launch of its Frampton View development of houses for sale in Rushall, it seemed the perfect solution for Diane – in fact, she has now just moved into her brand new three-bedroom ‘Severn’ detached house, which she reserved off-plan.

Diane explains: “I’ve lived in Rushall for 40 years since I got married and I’ve always loved it. I wanted to stay here, but I realised I couldn’t do the work that was needed on my old home.

“I thought it would be better to have a new house, but I wanted to stay near my friends so they could come and see me and I could still visit them as I didn’t want be on my own all the time. I was looking around for quite a while.

“When I saw Taylor Wimpey were planning to build here it seemed to suit what I was looking for. Before they were even building my brother Tony registered online for me because I haven’t got a computer. I came to the open event and decided this was for me!”

By reserving her home off-plan, Diane was able to choose her favourite from the first available plots at Frampton View.

Buying early also enabled Diane to choose from Taylor Wimpey’s range of interior Options, selecting tiles, flooring, kitchen cupboards and worktops to suit her personal preferences.

She added: “Everyone’s got different tastes and I was very pleased I could pick and have exactly what I wanted. It’s all wonderful.”

Diane’s new home features a spacious living room, a kitchen/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, a guest cloakroom, an en-suite master bedroom, two further bedrooms and a main bathroom.

What’s more, her plot enjoys a peaceful cul-de-sac location with a garden bordered by trees and open fields.

“It’s just beautiful in my back garden,” Diane says. “There are horses in the field and it’s so peaceful.”

Diane’s only regret is that her late husband Robert isn’t there to share it with her. He was only 57 when he died and Diane says he loved Rushall and would have loved the new house at Frampton View, too.

However, she says she’s incredibly grateful to her brother Tony Hawkins, who lives in Bloxwich and has been absolutely brilliant helping her organise her house move.

To find out more about the perfect location at Frampton View, property-seekers can visit the Sales Centre and showhomes, located off Station Road, Rushall, and open Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm.
