Santander Asset Management named 'Fund Manager of the Year'
Santander Asset Management UK has been named Multi Manager Team of the Year (Fund of Funds category) at the 2011 Investment Week annual awards.
This prestigious award recognises the quality, depth and rigour of the investment process at Santander Asset Management UK.
Investment Week hosted its 16th annual awards at the Royal Albert Hall on 7 July. The ceremony was attended by key professionals within the asset management industry. The award was collected by Tom Caddick, Head of Fund Management - Global Multi Manager and Toby Vaughan, Multi Manager Fund Manager.
This recognition comes just weeks after Santander Asset Management UK was ranked amongst the top ten asset management companies in the UK in terms of retail Multi Manager sales, according to the Q1 2011 Pridham report, a quarterly report published by Fundscape.
The business has also won the coveted Gold Standard Award in Fund Management for the past two years and is the only Bancassurer to receive this accolade.
Tom Caddick, Head of Fund Management - Global Multi Manager at Santander Asset Management UK, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have won this award. We continually strive to develop and adapt our investment process to ensure that our customers are kept at the heart of everything we do".
Santander Asset Management UK formed on 1 January 2007 when it took control of the asset management companies previously owned by Abbey National. Following a comprehensive restructure of the business under John Bearman, Chief Investment Officer, it has performed a successful performance turnaround story across its fund range.
