Cornish holiday cottage for peak season

13th July 2011 Print

A cottage owned by artists and goldsmiths and situated on an organic farm on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula is the latest addition to the portfolio of properties available this summer with Cornish Cottages.

Sleeping six in three bedrooms, Barn Cottage features large larch and oak timbers, pine staircases, high quality furniture – including hand-crafted oak tables and mahogany chests – and a handmade stained glass window.

The farm is run according to conservation and ecological principles and is Soil Association registered and the owners are happy for guests to explore and take in the rare breeds, free range chickens, vegetable garden – with the chance to buy organic eggs and vegetables – and acres of broadleaf woodland planted with 3000 English trees.

In addition, visits to the owners’ workshops, tuition classes, half-day courses in organic vegetable growing and yoga classes are all available by prior arrangement.

As an example of price, a week’s rental during peak season – 30 July to 26 August – costs £967.  Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at a cost of £25 each per week.
