Motoring enthusiasts thinking about visiting Chelsea AutoLegends in September have been advised to make their minds up soon if they want to make considerable savings on entrance fees.

Tickets pre-booked before the end of July come with substantial savings over tickets purchased on the day. An adult ticket bought on the gate will cost £20, but only £15 if booked in the next couple of weeks.

Even greater savings can also be made on tickets for youngsters aged between 12-16, which cost £10 before the end of the month but also will cost £20 on the day. Accompanied children under 12 go free. Tickets can be pre-booked via the event’s website, chelseaautolegends.com.

After a hugely successful debut in 2010, the capital’s premier automotive event returns to the grounds of the Royal Hospital in Chelsea on Sunday 4 September.

This year’s highlights include an even greater line up of the finest racing and road cars from the past and present… all wrapped up in a Swinging Sixties theme.

Among the special attractions will be:

Iconic Le Mans race cars
Brutal Group B rally cars from the 1980s
Classic motorcycles
50th birthday celebrations for the E-type and Mini Cooper
The ten most significant road cars of the past five decades
PistonHeads Supercar Run in association with The Sunday Times
Motorsport heroes including eight times motorcycle World Champion Phil Read and event Patron, Sir Stirling Moss

Last year’s inaugural event drew widespread praise not only for the exceptional number of rare and important cars on display – many being seen for the very first time in London – but also for its relaxed garden party atmosphere.

Building on this acclaim, Chelsea AutoLegends will again showcase the very best of the past and present with impressive displays of iconic historic, competition and supercars. With expanded exhibition areas, though, this year’s event will feature many added attractions and extra appeal for all ages. It will also continue raising funds for the Chelsea Pensioners – residents of the Royal Hospital – via a special auction and other activities.

Eric Verdon-Roe, chairman of Chelsea AutoLegends, said: ”We were bowled over by the positive response to last year’s event and aim to make the 2011 edition even more exciting. With plenty for everyone, this is a genuine family show.”
