Why waste money renting a property when you can buy your own? That’s a question posed by Sabina Maw who has just bought a brand new two-bedroom apartment at Bloor Homes’ Littlecombe development in Dursley.

Ideal homes for first time buyers, the five remaining apartments are offered with generous incentives to help you take your first step onto the property ladder. With Bloor’s equity loan scheme and five per cent gifted deposit, you can become a homeowner from just £432 per month.

Sabina, who was renting a property locally with her boyfriend is delighted with her new home. She said: “The development is far superior to others I’ve viewed - the setting in the valley, the layout and the variety of house styles all contribute to the overall appeal. In terms of the apartment, it was the orientation, layout, size and general airiness that attracted me.”

Sabina added: “The time was right for me to enter the property market, but without the Bloor scheme my options were limited. Bloor offered me the helping hand I needed to get into the housing market - a move that would have otherwise been unattainable. Sales Advisor, Sally Holt, was very helpful and patient with me, taking the time to explain the purchasing process to me on a number of occasions and now I’m very happy with my new home; I feel very fortunate to be living in my own home in such difficult financial times. The Bloor Scheme gave me the opportunity to achieve this and I’d certainly recommend them to others looking to buy their first property.”

The Sanderling apartments feature an open plan living space - incorporating the kitchen, sitting and dining areas - which benefits from a floor to ceiling picture window that floods the room with light. The apartments also include a large main bedroom with ensuite shower room, a second double bedroom and bathroom, a cycle store and parking space. Many offer outstanding views of the surrounding area.

Sally commented: “We are really pleased, not only that we were able to help Sabina into home ownership but also to help her buy a property that she really loves.”

She added: “The development is very popular so our homes are selling fast. We’re expecting completion in late summer so time is running out if you want to buy a fabulous home here at Littlecombe. We have only three apartments left and just six 3, 4 and 5-bedroom houses remaining. If you would like more information, please come along to the development. You can have a look round, see exactly what we have available and find out more about the special incentives we have on offer to help you buy your home – whether you are a first time buyer or have an existing property to sell.”

Littlecombe is situated alongside the River Cam and is surrounded by countryside and yet it’s only a short train journey to Bristol (approx 40 minutes), Gloucester (approx 25 minutes) and Stroud (approx 50 minutes) – from the nearby Cam & Dursley Station.
