Quality homes sell themselves in Halifax

Pride in a job well done is paying off for Redrow in Halifax, where new homes are selling fast.
Eleven properties at Wheatley Chase have been sold in just 12 weeks, with sales consultant Amy Gooder attributing the success to a combination of the quality workmanship, high specification and her commitment to customer service.
Amy commented: “Everyone at Redrow takes pride in ensuring we deliver high standards in everything we do so that our customers can enjoy their new homes to the full. I’m really proud of the quality of our homes and because I have confidence in them they are easy to sell. The New Heritage Collection speaks for itself and customers always comment on the quality of the specification. It’s great that so many things are included in the price rather than being an extra – it makes my job easier.”
Located in Keighley Road, the two, three and four-bedroom homes at Wheatley Chase look traditional from the outside, and are finished in stone in keeping with neighbouring properties. Inside they are bright, modern and full of family friendly features.
Prices start from as little as £110,999 and with the Government-backed HomeBuy Direct scheme available, eligible purchasers could save almost a third off the initial price.
“There isn’t much competition in our price range in Halifax without the property needing a lot of work doing to it to bring it up to the same high standard of our New Heritage Collection homes,” Amy, a 33-year-old married mother of two from Barnsley explained.
“We get a good number of visitors through the door and I’m confident I can convert those visitors into reservations because I’m honest, approachable and will do everything I can to help the customer without being pushy.”
Before joining Redrow earlier this year Amy worked for another housebuilder and is thoroughly enjoying working for her new employer.
“Redrow are much better than other housebuilders both in their commitment to developing their workforce and in the quality of their homes,” Amy added.
“I’ve benefited from a lot of training and was keen to get out on site and start selling. Now I’m here at Wheatley Chase that’s what I’ve been doing. I’ve been selling on average a house a week and in May alone I sold five properties.”
