Taylor Wimpey Midlands has cause to celebrate after Chris Gunn, site manager at Grafton Gate in Roade, scooped a prestigious NHBC (National House Building Council) Pride in the Job Quality Award.

Beating off stiff competition from more than 13,000 entries, the award, which is one of 65 won by Taylor Wimpey site managers around the UK, recognises Chris’s dedication to building high quality homes for new home buyers.

Presented following a stringent judging process by NHBC inspectors who perform spot checks on developments throughout the year, the Quality Awards also provide homebuyers with the assurance that the development provides top quality homes and excellent customer care.

Chris Gunn said: “The whole team at Grafton Gate takes great pride in what they do and works extremely hard to ensure the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards. I’m delighted to have reached this stage of the competition and to be recognised by the industry in this way.”

Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, adds: “Our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality, service and customer care has ensured that we continue to be an NHBC award winning house builder year after year. Chris Gunn’s award is thoroughly deserved and we’ll all be supporting him as he progresses through to the regional heats and hopefully the grand final.”

The only awards scheme that recognises the significant contribution of site managers in new home construction, Pride in the Job has been instrumental in raising the build quality of new homes in the UK for over three decades. The regional events take place in the autumn, with the Supreme Awards gala final being held in January 2012, the NHBC’s 75th anniversary year.

There is currently a collection of one and two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom homes being built at Grafton Gate. For further information visit the development, or log onto: taylorwimpey.co.uk/graftongate
