Once you’ve made the decision to move house, it’s natural that you want to be in your new surroundings sooner rather than later. Well that’s exactly what you can expect if you choose to move to Persimmon Homes’ popular Stour Croft development in Sudbury, as one purchaser bought and moved into her new home in just 17 days.

Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia, explains: “This is the fastest we’ve completed on a property where there’s a mortgage involved, which is a fantastic achievement all round and just demonstrates that those in a position to buy can start enjoying their new home almost immediately when they buy with us.”

Harriet Baker, who moved into her two bedroom Adlington housetype just 17 days after reserving at the Stour Croft development, is now making her brand new house a home. She states: “I’m amazed at how smooth my purchase was. Mary the sales adviser was on hand at every step of the way guiding me through the process and the paperwork, which meant I was able to move so quickly.”

Harriet bought her new Adlington townhouse with the assistance of Persimmon Homes’ shared equity scheme.

She continues: “Being able to take advantage of Persimmon’s shared equity scheme was a real selling point as it enabled me to have more flexibility with the style and size of house I could afford. It has also been lovely to move to a new development that is almost complete as there’s a real sense of community forming. I moved into my new home the same week as four of my immediate neighbours, so we have already built a good rapport as the newest residents at Stour Croft.”

With just one three bedroom detached Buckingham design remaining, Persimmon isn’t expecting its sales presence at Stour Croft to last too much longer. The Buckingham is priced from £203,950 and Part Exchange is being considered for those with homes to sell.

Jon adds: “Due to the stage of build our last purchaser could move as quickly as Harriet did, enabling them to enjoy the lifestyle on offer at one of our most admired developments in the region.”

Jon concludes: “We are about to launch our latest development in the area, Weavers Meadow in Hadleigh, so those who may miss out on their dream home at Stour Croft are being urged to register their interest and be one of the first to buy.”

The nearby picturesque town of Sudbury offers an abundance of local amenities including shops, restaurants and pubs as well as leisure facilities and a monthly farmers market. The development itself is situated ideally for those wanting to commute, with Colchester just a short drive away via the A12.
