Buyers looking for affordable new homes in Northamptonshire might consider a shared ownership (part-buy/part-rent) arrangement at Orbit Homes’ Furnace Lane scheme in Kettering. Just £46,000 will secure a 40 per cent share of one of the two-bedroom coach houses or terraced houses on the scheme. A subsidised rent and service charge is payable on the balance and owners can purchase a larger share of their home at a later date, when finances allow.
Lagan Homes’ Pearce Leatherworks development is a landmark scheme in Northampton, in the grounds of one of the UK’s most famous leather factorise. The Art Deco building at the centre of the scheme is being refurbished as commercial premises, and there are some 120 new homes being built around it.
