Into the forest with Winnie the Pooh

10th August 2011 Print

Young Winnie the Pooh fans will be thrilled to visit locations mentioned in A.A. Milne’s famous books about the ‘bear of little brain’ on a special family break at Ashdown Park Hotel in East Sussex.

The 19th-century mansion is in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, where the books were set. A one-night Tigger Package includes a gift pack for children with colouring book, stickers and a map of the forest showing Pooh’s favourite spots, including The Enchanted Place and Pooh Bridge where they can play his favourite game of Pooh sticks (instructions included). Youngsters return to the hotel for a tea of Pooh’s honey sandwiches, Eeyore’s carrot and celery stick dippers and a Tigger cupcake. The cost of £300 for a family of two adults and two children sharing an executive room also includes breakfast for everyone, dinner for the adults and use of the indoor swimming pool, gym and spa. Available through August and September.
