New apartments with winter gardens

Melrose Court

Apartments with features such as winter gardens, wrap-around balconies and terraces are within reach for first time buyers at Genesis’ Melrose Court development in Mitcham. Outside, every apartment has either a decked terrace or balcony large enough for a small table and chairs or a barbecue set for the summer months. Three of the apartments also feature winter gardens, a glazed interior space perfect for catching the winter sun or even growing tomatoes.

Once seen as adding an additional cost to new homes, outside space at Melrose Court comes as standard. Starting at just £37,500 for a 25% share for a two-bedroom apartment, (based on a full market value of £150,000), first time buyers can enjoy outside space without paying a premium. Two large three bedroom apartments with fantastic views of the surrounding area and towards London are also available, starting from £51,250 for a 25% share based on a full market value of £205,000.

Buyers can purchase between 25% and 75% and can increase their share at any time, all the way to 100% and outright ownership. Melrose Court is available to anyone who does not already own a property and is unable to buy a home on the open market. Their total household income must be less than £60,000 per annum and ideally they must have savings of around £3,500 to cover moving and legal costs.

The apartments’ interiors are spacious, with floor-to-ceiling picture windows in the living areas, flooding the room with natural light. With style and comfort the hallmark, each apartment is finished to a high standard, with fitted kitchens providing a range of appliances including an electric oven and hob, Hotpoint fridge/freezer and washing machine.

Melrose Court is handily placed for Tooting, Streatham Common and Mitcham Eastfields railway stations, giving commuters access into the West End in half an hour.

As well as offering great commuter links, Streatham Road is well located to take advantage of the great outdoors. For morning joggers, nearby Figges Marsh and Streatham Vale Park are ideal to make the best of the morning air. Streatham Vale Park also offers a wide range of facilities, including an adventure playground, bowling green, children's play area and tennis courts.
