The former Redbridge site of the iconic Royal Jersey Laundry is set to be transformed into a stunning new residential development, the first of its kind in the area for 25 years. Royal Jersey Place is to be developed by multi-award winning house builder Higgins Homes and will be launched for off-plan sales this August.

The Redbridge, IG4, site will feature nine exclusive detached and semi-detached family homes, including one three-bedroom house, five four-bedroom houses and three five-bedroom houses. Scheduled for occupation in October 2011, each two-storey property will be finished to the highest specifications and will feature modern kitchens and bathrooms, an individual parking space, a garage or carport and a private garden with both a paved patio and luscious lawn area.

Jeremy Marcus, Sales and Marketing Director, Higgins Homes, comments: “The contemporary houses at Royal Jersey Place are environmentally sensitive, designed to Level 3 on the Code for Sustainable Homes, whilst still catering for 21st Century family living.

“These houses are light, bright and spacious, they come with top of the range fixtures and fittings. Royal Jersey Place will offer homes of unrivalled quality in Redbridge and we expect these properties will be snapped up quickly by buyers looking to take advantage of the first new build housing development in the area for a quarter of a century!”

The interiors of Royal Jersey Place have been designed to be familiar, yet chic. The stylish Urban Myth kitchens will include a range of integrated appliances by Smeg, while bathrooms and en-suites will be fitted by Ideal Standard. Externally, a blend of brick, render and traditional gabling will ensure the development is sympathetic to Royal Jersey Place’s surrounding environment while a number of established lime trees will provide some privacy.

Redbridge is extremely well connected, a gateway between the City of London and the rolling Essex countryside. Both Redbridge and Gants Hill Underground stations on the Central line are near to Royal Jersey Place and frequent services to London Liverpool Street take approximately 20 minutes,* while the development is just four stops from the new Westfield in Stratford. Motorists will also enjoy easy access to the best of the capital via the A12 and M11.

Redbridge is a catchment area for high achieving schools like the Beal School and it offers a vibrant community spirit and various cultural events year round. There are also many glorious outdoor spaces nearby, including part of Epping Forest and in 2012, Redbridge will be an integral part of London’s Olympic Games as it hosts the track cycling events at its newly built velodrome.

Prices are due to be released upon the development’s launch on Saturday August 20th. For further information, visit higginshomes.co.uk.
