Thrifty homebuyers secure perfect property in Rushall

Lynsey Hill and Andrew Shepherd enjoyed a quick, easy and affordable move to their ideal home at Taylor Wimpey’s Frampton View development of property for sale in Rushall, Walsall.
Budget-conscious buyers Lynsey Hill and Andrew Shepherd found they could make big savings by moving to Taylor Wimpey’s Frampton View development of houses for sale in Rushall, Walsall.
The couple, who together with daughters Abby (7) and Faith (3) are looking forward to moving to taking up their places within this desirable new community of new homes in Rushall this summer, decided it made perfect financial sense to buy a new-build home from the leading housebuilder.
“We had a three-bedroom house just half a mile down the road from Frampton View,” says Lynsey, reflecting on the decision to purchase a new property in Rushall.
“But, we had our hearts set on a brand new property because we didn’t want the hassle and expense of maintaining and making changes to an older house.
“The thought of having somewhere that’s new, with nothing needing doing to it, really appealed because keeping an older house up to scratch can become a bit of a money pit.”
After exploring a Taylor Wimpey showhome, commercial administrator Lynsey (28), and site manager Andrew (31), chose a three-bedroom ‘Croxton’ semi-detached property to buy in Rushall.
“While we are moving from an old three-bed semi to a new one, the ‘Croxton’ is head and shoulders above our current home,” says Lynsey.
“It’s really light, the rooms are a good size, I love the sense of space and the way everything is laid out.
“To have something as simple as an entrance hallway is also something that really appeals to us, because in our current home the front door opens into our living room, which lets in the cold and means there is nowhere to take off your shoes and coats.”
Mindful of finances, Lynsey and Andrew were pleased to discover Taylor Wimpey’s easymover incentive, which has helped them to find a buyer for their current home and add some extra features to their new one.
“When you move, you do find that costs can mount up, but we’ve not found that by using easymover,” says Lynsey.
“Taylor Wimpey paid for our house to be advertised with two agents, which was one less thing to worry about, and we managed to find a buyer quickly, which was great.
“We also received extras for the house which we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford, including an outside light and a security system.”
The three-bedroom ‘Croxton’ house is available at Frampton View from as little as £154,995 – or just £131,745 for qualifying first-time buyers through the leading housebuilder’s popular easystart incentive. Alternatively, two-bedroom apartments are available from just £86,700.
Under easystart, purchasers need only to find a deposit as low as 5%, subject to status, and Taylor Wimpey will put them in touch with an independent financial advisor to help arrange a mortgage covering up to 80% of the price.
The remaining 15% is provided by the housebuilder in the form of an interest-free loan which can be repaid in up to three instalments over a 10-year period, at the market value of the property when payments are made.
For those with a home to sell, like Lynsey and Andrew, easymover takes away the hassle of selling a property. Instead, Taylor Wimpey does all the legwork, helping to find a buyer in as little as six weeks and often in just a fortnight.
Full details and terms and conditions of the incentive are available from the Sales Executive.
