Save half off fall travel to the Emerald City

Seattle - The Emerald City heralds the arrival of fall with Bumbershoot, North America’s largest urban arts festival. Held every Labor Day weekend at the Seattle Center, Bumbershoot treats its 100,000 attendees to performances ranging from music, film and comedy to dance, theater and the visual arts.

Originally built for the 1962 World’s Fair, the Seattle Center is home to three top-tier Seattle attractions: the Space Needle, Pacific Science Center and Experience Music Project | Science Fiction Museum. And with Seattle CityPASS, travelers can save half off admission to these and other attractions, including the Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour, and either the awe-inspiring Museum of Flight or the crowd-pleasing Woodland Park Zoo.

Seattle CityPASS costs $59 for adults (it contains admission tickets worth $117) and $39 for kids 4-12 (value $74). In addition to saving money, the pass saves time, allowing holders to skip most main-entrance ticket lines.

When planning to visit the Space Needle’s observation deck, most visitors face a difficult choice: Should they visit during the day to enjoy the picturesque view of Puget Sound and the surrounding mountains; or should they visit after dark to experience the city’s vast, romantic carpet of shimmering lights? With Seattle CityPASS, however, such dilemmas disappear. The Space Needle ticket included with CityPASS allows visitors to make two trips to the top of this iconic Seattle landmark during a 24-hour period.

Fall visitors to Seattle will also be among the first to see the remodeled Eames IMAX Theater at the Pacific Science Center. The theater, which was also built for the World’s Fair, will reopen this fall with a new IMAX 3-D projection system, including a new digital sound system; upgraded seating; and a completely refurbished look. (CityPASS’s Pacific Science Center ticket includes both general admission and the guest’s choice of one 2-D or 3-D IMAX film presentation.)

Seattle CityPASS can be purchased online at CityPASS.com or at any of the CityPASS attractions. It is valid for nine consecutive days, beginning with the first day of use. CityPASS ticket booklets are also available for New York City, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Hollywood, Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Toronto and Southern California.
