Monster Truck Driver tries his hand as stand-up act

Santa Pod Raceway sees more than its fair share of thrills and spills throughout the season, but The Monster Truck Nationals, hosted last weekend certainly saw one of the funniest. Monster Truck driver Lewis Cook managed to park his 5 tonne leviathan in a totally vertical position after attempting to jump over a fire truck without the aid of a ramp. The resulting ‘ready to launch’ posture ensure that he was the most photographed attraction of the day..

Although totally unhurt by the tricky move, Cook had to remain strapped into ‘Crusher’, his purpose-built machine for several minutes, whilst the safety crews carefully winched the truck down to a more horizontal plane.
