Follow the Cameron path to Cornwall

Character cottages in Cornwall – where the PM’s family are currently enjoying a break – have seven-night savings until the end of September with Toad Hall Cottages.

Near north-coast beaches and the fashionable spots of Port Isaac and Padstow is Hay Cottage, a beautifully refurbished 18th-century house, sleeping up to seven. With plenty of period character and high-quality furnishings, the house is in a secluded valley just outside Wadebridge and has a lovely large landscaped garden. Weekly rental is now £527 (saving £132) until September 24, then £473 (saving £118) for the final week.

In the picture-postcard little fishing town of Polperro on the opposite coast is a sympathetically-converted barn backing directly onto the River Pol that flows down into the harbour. With masses of original features including beams and rough stone walls, Little Barn sleeps five and is a ten-minute walk to the beach. Seven-night rental is now £333 (saving £100) throughout the month.
