One visit to Taylor Wimpey’s exclusive Priory Gardens development of new homes for sale in Pipe Gate, Shropshire, was enough to convince home-hunters Chris and Nicola Bate that it was their ideal destination.

When Chris and Nicola Bate paid a visit to Taylor Wimpey’s Priory Gardens development of new build homes in Pipe Gate, near Market Drayton, Shropshire, they were planning only to gather information about prices in their search for a new house.

But they were so impressed by the quality of the new houses for sale in Shropshire, the fabulous village location and the great-value prices on offer at the development that they didn’t hesitate to snap up their perfect property – before they’d even seen the showhome!

After taking advantage of Taylor Wimpey’s easymover scheme to secure a quick and hassle-free sale for their current house in Newcastle-under-Lyme, the couple are now looking forward to settling into their brand new property in Pipe Gate with their daughters, Sophie (16) and two-year-old Ella.

“We’d been aware of Priory Gardens for some time as we have family close by, and when we decided we wanted to move to the area, we thought we’d take a look,” says Chris (41), reflecting on the couple’s first visit to the development of new homes in Pipe Gate.

“We really only went with a view to just enquiring about prices, but it made such an impression on us that we’d made a reservation within a few days – and this was before the showhome had even opened!

“The location of the development is ideal for us as it’s close to our work in Market Drayton, it’s nearer to Sophie’s college and Ella’s nursery and it’s part of a lovely, peaceful village community.

“We were also able to secure a fantastic plot that’s tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac. We’re really pleased with our decision to purchase at Priory Gardens and we’re very much looking forward to moving into our new home.”

Chris and Nicola (40), who run an insurance brokerage business together, chose a four-bedroom ‘Westley’ detached house at Priory Gardens, having been attracted by its stylish design and spacious layout which affords them plenty more room than their current three-bedroom property.

Under the easymover initiative, available on selected plots at the development, Taylor Wimpey takes the stress out of selling a property by finding a buyer for the customer’s existing home in an average of five to six weeks – though for the Bates, the process was even quicker.

“Taylor Wimpey was able to find us a buyer for our old home within about three weeks, which came as a pleasant surprise to say the least,” says Chris.

“We have been very pleased indeed at how well the easymover scheme has worked out for us. Selling a property can be a difficult and time-consuming experience, but this has made the whole process a lot smoother and more straightforward.”

An impressive selection of beautiful detached homes is currently available to purchase at Priory Gardens, including the four-bedroom ‘Westley’, priced from just £244,995.

Tailor-made for modern family living, this spacious property boasts a large lounge opening through double doors to a separate dining room, a light and airy kitchen/breakfast room offering access to the private rear garden, and a handy guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a generous en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms – two sharing access to another en-suite shower room – and a main bathroom, while the ‘Westley’ also benefits from an integral garage and driveway parking outside.

Alternatively, the four-bedroom ‘Oxford’ is priced from only £249,995, the four-bedroom ‘Abraham’ from just £280,000, and the magnificent five-bedroom ‘Manor’ is available from only £320,000.

Priory Gardens is a wonderful semi-rural development located within walking distance of village amenities which include a post office and primary school, while the pretty town of Market Drayton, which offers a lively weekly street market and a wide selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes, is about five miles away.

The town also boasts a stunning 14th Century church which dominates its skyline, and the 66-mile Shropshire Union Canal runs close to the centre of Market Drayton, providing the perfect setting for scenic walks and cycling.

Crewe railway station is located 13 miles from Priory Gardens and operates frequent services to London, Manchester, Birmingham and Chester. Commuters will also appreciate that the A53 is a short drive away and provides quick links to the M6 motorway.

For days out, Priory Gardens is well placed, with Dorfold Hall and Ford Green Hall, Stafford Castle and Beeston Castle, Lilleshall Abbey and Stafford’s The Ancient High House all within easy reach. A range of sports and leisure facilities can be found in Market Drayton and in nearby Shrewsbury.

To find out more about the new homes available at the development, property-seekers can visit the Sales Centre, located off London Road, Pipe Gate, TF9 4HL, and open Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
