Mayor unveils new homes in Irthlingborough

The Mayor of Irthlingborough, Councillor Mrs Marika Hillson, officially opened Bloor Homes’ pleasant new development, The Lanterns, on Finedon Road, Irthlingborough, on Friday 26th August. The event launched some exciting new show homes for homebuyers, who are set to benefit from FirstBuy.
Under this new initiative, purchasers can secure a new home at The Lanterns for just 80% of the property’s market value, meaning that three-bedroom homes at the development are available for just £119,960! The remaining 20% is paid by a shared equity loan funded by Bloor Homes and the Homes and Communities Agency.
Mayor Hillson said. “The location Bloor Homes chose has brightened up the area with the variety of homes for their latest development and should allow all age ranges of local people to purchase homes in their own town”.
Vanessa Macnee, Sales Director of Bloor Homes, added: “We are very proud of the quality and design of The Lanterns, which typifies Bloor’s people-focused approach to house building, and I am grateful for the opportunity to show the development to the Mayor and our other distinguished guests.”
The Lanterns comprises a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses. Their bright, airy interiors include modern fitted kitchens and contemporary bathrooms with a choice of colours, tiles and style (subject to the stage of construction), and the high-quality finish that is a hallmark of Bloor Homes’ developments.
The three-bedroom Bampton house type is available through FirstBuy and provides a great first home for a young family. On the ground floor there is a spacious living area and fitted kitchen with utility room, plus a separate cloakroom. Upstairs are two double bedrooms (one en suite); a single bedroom – ideal as an office or playroom; and a family bathroom.
Prices for homes at The Lanterns start at £119,950. For further information on the development, visit bloorhomes.com.
