New life for the Lowery’s at King Copse development

After seven years of being based in Germany serving for the British Army, Steve Lowery and his family have returned to Quedgley in Gloucester to settle down to civilian life at Taylor Wimpey’s King Copse development.
After 22 years of service and living in Army headquarters, Steve is happy to be moving into a house he can finally call home. “Taylor Wimpey has been very good to us. We spotted a house on the development that we loved and we managed to get a good deal on the property. Both the sales team and the site manager went beyond their daily duties to help arrange everything for us and make sure everything was completed in time.
“All our neighbours are extremely friendly and introduced themselves while we were moving in. One of the best things about living in our new home is being able to do whatever we want to it and not have to give it back to the Army. It’s been great to get back to civilian life; something my family hasn’t been able to do for over 20 years.”
Steve and his wife Sue have now opened up an ice cream parlour in Gloucester city centre. “We both knew when I left the Army that we would set up our own business but we were unsure what to do. It wasn’t until Sue noticed there was no ice cream parlour in the city that we came up with the idea. Back in Germany ice cream parlours are really popular, so we decided to give it a go. We are really enjoying being back in Gloucester and living at the Kings Copse development.”
Kings Copse offers a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes with prices starting from £154,995. Located in Quedgeley, the development is postioned just of the A38 and only 10 minutes away from the M5 making it a perfect location for commuters.
