Bellway Homes appoints royal lookalikes to unveil the Newcastle showhome in Dalkeith.

Taking time out from their very busy schedule, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be dropping in for afternoon tea, on Saturday 1 October from 12noon to 4pm, to officially launch the stunning new Newcastle showhome at Bellway Homes’ celebrated Duchess Park (phase II) development in Dalkeith.

Kate and William lookalikes will be there on the day to meet and greet prospective house buyers before opening the doors to the beautifully presented four-bedroom detached Newcastle. This the first time this house type has been available from the award-winning housebuilder north of the border and is undoubtedly a home fit for a future king!

Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, says: “The opening of the showhome cements the second phase at Duchess Park, which follows on from the sell-out success of the first phase. The mix of properties offers a collection of superior family homes that are in much demand in Dalkeith.

“Given that this is our only development in Scotland with a regal title to its name, we thought it was only fitting to theme our opening around one of the most celebrated duchesses of recent times and also showcase the first-class finish not just of the Newcastle, but of all the properties at Duchess Park. I would encourage eager house hunters and KatWillis admirers alike to join us on 1 October to view the Newcastle and see first-hand what’s been achieved with the interior design.”

The Newcastle is a thoughtfully planned family home, featuring a spacious lounge with French doors leading out to the rear garden, a separate corner dining room with elegant windows, and a large open plan kitchen with family area, utility room and downstairs cloakroom. The upper level comprises of four impeccable styled bedrooms, including the master with the luxury of its own en-suite. The Newcastle also includes an integral double garage with access from the rear garden. The property is priced from £269,995.

In addition to the Newcastle, Duchess Park offers a choice of well-appointed three bedroom semi-detached homes and expertly crafted three and four-bedroom detached villas within this sought after location. For those who reserve over the launch weekend, there is the opportunity to secure a new home at the pre-showhome prices (starting from just £178,995) plus Bellway will also pay the stamp duty.

A former market town, Dalkeith is a picturesque setting that has its own noble heritage, including a 12th century castle and 18th century Dalkeith House as well as Dalkeith Country Park, with its miles of unspoiled woodland.

Today, Dalkeith enjoys a bustling town centre with a good selection of high street stores and several independent retailers - there are also regular Farmers’ Markets within the town. The recently completed Dalkeith Community Campus, close to Duchess Park, is home to Dalkeith High and St David’s secondary schools. The campus also offers a number of community leisure facilities.

Situated off the A68, Duchess Park is well placed for an accessible commute to and from Edinburgh. Newcraighall Station is only four miles from the development, with ‘park and ride’ facilities off Sheriffhall roundabout, and operates a regular service to Waverley Station.
