Bike and Roll Washington DC has announced that the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial is now a part of both the Monuments and Monuments@Nite tours! Located along the tidal basin, directly between the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials, the National Mall's newest memorial has already attracted millions of visitors from all over the world.

Visitors walk first through the Mount of Despair, into a courtyard of cherry trees, fountains, and the Stone of Hope. Engravings of King's most famous words line the walls, serving as a backdrop for 30-foot statue of King himself as he looks out across the Potomac. The bike tour continues on to visit World War II, Vietnam, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, and many others.

Rescheduled for October 16th, the official opening of the memorial will take place at 9:00am on the National Mall. President Obama is scheduled to speak, as well as Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, and members of the King family. The memorial is projected to bring millions of new visitors to Washington DC every year for at least the next several years.

Bike and Roll Washington, DC and Bike and Roll Alexandria are managing partners of Bike and Roll, a national network of bike rental and tour companies known for outstanding customer service, exceptional value, and high quality rental equipment with additional locations in Chicago, Miami Beach, New York City, and San Francisco.
